Breathe In Grace, Breathe Out Mercy

Psalm 37:7-9

Be still before the Lord and wait patiently for Him; do not fret whenever men succeed in their ways, when they carry out their wicked schemes. Refrain from anger and turn away from wrath; do not fret--it leads only to evil. For evil men will be cut off, but those who hope in the Lord will inherit the land.

O my Father, help me! Teach me how to stop and take a breath in the heat of the  moment when my emotions kick in instantly and I want to retaliate and strike back. Stop me from reacting, remind me to pause to breathe in Your Grace. Then I will be able to respond by breathing out Your Mercy upon those who are against me. Teach me how to maintain Your Peace and quietness in the midst of the turmoil.

Even so, come, Lord Jesus!
