John 12:25-26
Those who love their life in this world will lose it. Those who care nothing for their life in this world will keep it for eternity. Anyone who wants to be My disciple must follow Me, because my servants must be where I am. And the Father will honor anyone who serves Me.
Jesus was facing His death, and proclaimed that, as a kernel of wheat is planted into the ground and dies, then produces a whole crop of wheat; so likewise He would die and be resurrected, and produce the whole crop of Christians from that time until now. And that we, likewise, must consider our lives as disposable in the world, and then we will have our life forever with Him in His kingdom and forever.
Even so, come, Lord Jesus!
