Job 22:21-22; 23:12
Submit to God and be at peace with Him; in this way prosperity will come to you. Accept instruction from His mouth and lay up His words in your heart.
Job's friend Eliphaz gives this advice to him. And Job replies:
I have not departed from the commands of His lips; I have treasured the words of His mouth more than my daily bread.
Let's begin this year with this determination: Since God is our Creator, our Maker, and He has planned out everything to fulfill His purposes for all He has made; then it just makes sense to read the "Manufacturer's Instructions" and order our lives according to it. Then we, like Job (read the end of the book to see), will benefit with the prosperity that comes to those who are in tune with their surroundings, and we will enjoy life in the goodness of God to us. That will bring a smile to His face toward us, just as a father enjoys the successes of his children he loves.
So may God bless this new year to you and your family with prosperity; financial, relational and spiritual.
Even so, come, Lord Jesus!
