The Plans Of The Diligent

Proverbs 21: 5

The plans of the diligent lead surely to advantage, but everyone who is hasty comes surely to poverty.

My late husband had built us a beautiful mansion inside the commercial Mill building where we had our business. After he died, I sold the business because it was very technical and I couldn't run it without him.

I also needed to sell the property when our children grew up and left, and I had it on the market off and on for 15 years.

My dream was and still is to vagabond the World spreading the Seed of the Gospel, and I felt that I was chained to that property.

Now God has honored my patience and diligence with success and advantage.

He brought a wonderful Christian family to fall in love with the house and property, and they bought it and are living there. Thank You, Father!

And with the proceeds of that sale I bought a house that is now my house, not my husband's--I am God's child, He is my King, so I am His princess, and this house should be my palace, and my car my chariot.

The only servant I have to make this a palace is myself! This is a complete turn-around of my thinking processes about my dwelling. So my Father is bringing me step-by-step in His process of leading me by the hand around that blind corner I had been anticipating for so long!

O my Father, You are Great God Almighty! You are sovereign Lord over all Your Creation, and it is You Who are doing all that is done in this World.

O Father, please help me; teach me to lean continually on You and not trust what I think I know! Thank You so much for that lovely family to take over that Mill property, and take care of it, making it their own, that You have given them.

And thank You so much for this charming little house You have given me to care for. Thank You for fulfilling these desires of my heart.

Please hold my hand firmly as I turn this corner, seeing little by little what lies ahead, into a new chapter in the story of my life. Let me not run ahead of You or lag behind, let me not wander off or pull away, let me not turn to the right or to the left; but walk each step in step with You, confidently following hard on Your heels, rejoicing in the new adventures we are entering together!

Enable me to prime this little house for those who will enjoy it while I'm gone; when I begin that exciting excursion over the World to broadcast Your Seed over all the cultivated fields that are ready for the planting, and help to reap those fields that are ripe for harvest!

Even so, come, Lord Jesus!
